As soon as a container ship is pulled into a harbour by a towboat, the unloading of the freight starts. Containers usually have the same size. Stacked one above the other, they fit well inside the container ship. Large container ships can be unloaded only in special harbours, which are called 'container terminals'. These have a container bridge, huge specialized cranes, and various types of cargo transport mechanisms. Singapore has the largest container station in the world, and Rotterdam, the largest container harbour in Europe.
