Why do we see different kinds of ships in harbours?

Different kinds of ships are made for different purposes. There are pilot ships, fire-fighting ships, private luxury yachts, and huge passenger ships meant for taking tourists all over the world. It is an impressive sight when a ship sails into a harbour with high stacked containers. Huge ocean liners can be seen anchored alongside the quays of harbours, and others are seen sailing close to the ports. Some ships carry huge quantities of fish, which they catch at high the ports, Some ships carry huge quantities of fish, which they catch at high sea. In the river ports too there is hectic activity. The freight-laden barges that belong to inland shipping companies and travel in large rivers unload here.
