Apart from petrol, diesel and crude oil serve as raw materials for the manufacture of many types of plastics. Therefore, waste plastic products are separated from garbage and 'recycled' to produce new plastic objects. However, this process consumes a lot of energy. In fact, we can better protect the environment by not buying things made of plastic. We should go for shopping taking our own bags, and should buy unpacking things; in this way, less garbage will be generated.
