How can we protect the rainforest?

It is not easy to protect rainforests. However, the choices we make when buying various things of daily use can indirectly protect and conserve the rainforests. For example, we should buy only those wooden products that carry seals or labels mentioning that the material used for manufacture is not hazardous to rainforests. Another important consumer choice is meat. We should check labels to buy only that meat which is not obtained from cattle raised on pastures formed by clearing rainforests.
